Frank Guilbert photo albums, 1916-1930s.

Six photo albums of 8x10 black and white prints taken by Frank W. Guilbert primarily in the 1920s. Photographs are scenic views of lakes, roads, mountains and other scenic views around Spokane and the Inland Northwest. Many pictures of Mt. Spokane are included, as well as Liberty Lake, Loon Lake, Priest Lake. Pictures of Manito Park in Spokane and pictures of roads and trails are also present.

Frank W. Guilbert, engineer and architect, served as manager of the Inland Automobile Association, president of the Eastern Washington Highway association and executive secretary of the Spokane County Good Roads association. Guilbert was a lifelong booster of eastern Washington. He came to Spokane from Wisconsin in 1904. In 1910, he was asked to lead the Spokane County Good Roads Association for two weeks and stayed in the position the rest of his life. During the teens, he started to photograph...
